Don't use another essential oil without out this book!

I've had this book now for several months and I seriously pick it up at least once or twice a day. Yes, I am a professional aromatherapist and a registered nurse, but neither of these are necessary or required to find this huge book of information helpful and necessary. You absolutely DO NOT have to be even well versed in essential oils to NEED this book. If you use any essential oil for any reason - you need this book. If you don't understand some of the chemical constituent information, then take time to learn it - it isn't difficult and the author makes it really very easy. Is it an absolute necessity for anyone who sells, uses or advocates the use of essential oils - YES!! It is easily segmented into even just a particular essential oil and you can quickly see if there are cautions for pregnancy or any other health issue. It astounds me that so much research, documentation and time had to go into accumulating all of this information and the price of the book is very under priced in my opinion when I consider so many of the healthcare texts and college texts that give a smidgen of the information in this one book. Yes, it is big and yes it is heavy and yes it is worth every single cent you might spend on it.

Robert Tisserand is THE single most respected authority for so many things pertaining to aromatherapy and essential oils but particularly when it is a question of safety. He has been studying, researching and writing about this subject for very many years. This book sits beside my desk - and I have many aromatherapy books that aren't in this revered spot - so I can easily reach over and check, double check everything whether I am making up a blend, writing a blog, commenting on a social media site or just curious - the answers are always (yes, always) there and easily found. He has given the world of aromatherapy what no one else could - legitimacy and safety. I for one will be forever grateful.

Anyone with a sense of responsibility will own this book. If you are in a Network Marketing company and you teach classes, YOU NEED THIS BOOK. Stop passing on the lies and hype from your upline and mommy bloggers. DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure you are passing on SAFE usage information. There are masses of people using essential oils now, and it's YOUR responsibility as a representative for your company, to see that they have GOOD and SAFE usage information.

This isn't a second edition...IT'S A WHOLE NEW BOOK!!!!

If you had the first edition of this book, you are going to LOVE the second edition. If don't have the first edition of this book, you are going to LOVE this edition. I almost hate to call it a second edition...it's a complete rewrite with far more information than the first. It's a heavy tome, full of detailed information including individual oils, their uses, contraindications, etc. Every page has something useful on it and this has already become a go to resource for me in my aromatherapy practice.

Great resource in which to build and develop their information security skills

It wasn’t that long ago that building a full network security test lab was a highly expensive endeavor. In The Network Security Test Lab: A Step-by-Step Guide, author Michael Gregg has written a helpful hands-on guide to provide the reader with an economical method to do that. The book is a step-by-step guide on how to create a security network lab, and how to use some of the most popular security and hacking tools.

The book is a straightforward guide that will help the reader in their quest to master the art of effective use of security and hacking tools. The reader that can put in the time and plow through the slightly over 400 pages will certainly come out with a strong understanding of how to run the most common set of popular security tools.

The book is written for the reader on the budget. In the introduction, Gregg writes how one can easily find inexpensive networking equipment at budget prices on eBay. While brand new hardware devices can cost in the thousands; one can find Cisco Catalyst switches, and Nokia IP and Check Point firewalls for under $50. Combined with his emphasis on open source software and tools, this is a most practical reference for those looking to increase their security skills without breaking the bank.

In addition, this book focuses a bit more on using a holistic approach to creating a secure network, as opposed to just hacking in.

In the effort to make the test lab as inexpensive to build as possible, the book places on emphasis on using virtualization. The book focuses on using the VMware Player; a free virtualization software toolkit for Linux and Windows.

The book covers a huge amount of information and tools. If the reader puts in the time and completes everything, they will have a thorough knowledge of most of the key concepts in network security.

The Art of LV

This is a ginormous book chronicling all of the wonderful collaborations LV has done with artists and photographers. It's large format, full color, beautiful paper and an impressive collection. Whether you are a collector or just a fan this book provides plenty of reference material and inspiration. From Takashi Murakami to Stephen Sprouse to Richard Prince and many, many others this showcases all of the wonderful designs that have come from these artistic mashups. It's all here and looks fabulous. For fans of the artists and for LV lovers this is a visual treat and highly recommended.

Diverse & colorful insights into the LV world

For those that are curious, this is the same book as the Exclusive Edition one available in LV boutiques and the online store for $130. The only difference is the cover art work, 5 multiple colored tassels for bookmarking, and the plastic slipcase found on the Exclusive Edition. Otherwise, the content of the book is exactly the same.

I was debating between purchasing this book and the Louis Vuitton: The Birth of Modern Luxury. After browsing through both books at my local LV boutique, I realized that they are actually quite different and intended for different audience. For me, I was immediately drawn to the art works and worldwide architecture designs and photos in the Art, Fashion, and Architecture book and how they relate to the overall image and designs of the company's products. Numerous color photos of great past and current LV ads as well as display window pictures are another attraction that drew me to purchase this book. Basically, I think of the The Birth of Modern Luxury as a "library, archival, historical" type of book while the Art, Fashion, and Architecture as the actual "modern, fashionable, and diverse" offering. I believe if you are into beautiful, high quality pictures and less reading, then this should be the choice between the two books.

Personally, I actually prefer this Standard Edition over the Exclusive Edition simply because I don't need the slipcase and find the cover design on the Exclusive Edition a bit too cartoon-like.
This is really one of the nicest coffee table books I've ever purchased both in design and quality. My book arrived in pristine condition and Amazon did a great job packing and shipping. A note regarding the binding issue some other reviewers brought up, the copy at the LV boutique looks like it's been opened and flattened for a prolonged period and although the pages are well attached, they did look like you might be able to tear a page loose if you flip the page too hard or fast. It is however the same with the other large format LV books in the store made by different publishers. I believe this is just the way they make large format books with nice thick glossy papers. As long as you don't press the book open, you will never have to worry about binding issues.

construction a little shoddy

The contents of this book are wonderful, edgy photography, great subject matter.
If you are expecting just fashion, this is not the book for you. It contains storefronts, (hint:architecture in the title), art and just enough fashion to satisfy a woman. The actual book I received is a little shoddy.The binding does not seem strong and it feels the pages may come out with a lot of use. There also was
tearing on the title page next to the spine, this is a new book and I am a liitle
disappointed in the condition.
